June Programme

Although summer may not seem to have arrived yet, your Cromarty Cinema June newsletter is here! This month, we have a busy schedule filled with a smorgasbord of treats for film enthusiasts.

Back by popular demand after a sold-out screening earlier this year is Lunana: A Yak in the Classroom. Also returning is National Theatre Live with the ever-popular Fleabag, giving you the opportunity to see Phoebe Waller-Bridge perform the play that inspired the smash-hit TV show of the same name. To celebrate its 30th anniversary, we are screening Kieslowski’s masterful Three Colours trilogy across our Sunday matinees.

June’s volunteers’ choice is Punch-Drunk Love, the quirky, off-kilter romcom starring Adam Sandler. Speaking of romcoms, you can also catch Jane Fonda and Diane Keaton in the hilarious Book Club: The Next Chapter.

For international cinema lovers, we have Tunisian Under the Fig Trees and Italian The Eight Mountains.

We are also screening Wes Anderson’s latest star-studded feature, Asteroid City, which stars Scarlett Johansson and Tom Hanks.

Finally, June’s family-friendly and highly entertaining feature – Are You There God? It’s Me, Margaret – is based on Judy Blume’s classic novel.
