Rosemarkie Man: Brutal Murder or Ritual Sacrifice? A Talk by Steve Birch

For something a bit different this November, why not join us on Wednesday 25 November at 7pm for an evening of local archaeology, when we’ll be hosting a talk by archaeologist Steve Birch on the discovery of the Rosemarkie Man.

Found deep in a cave just along the coast from us on the Black Isle, the remains of the Rosemarkie Man raise a gripping question: was this a brutal murder, or a ritual sacrifice? Steve will take us inside the excavation and through the evidence, and share what the team uncovered about the man and how he met his end.

It promises to be a fascinating look at a remarkable find on our own doorstep, and a rare chance to hear the story first-hand from one of the people who helped bring it to light.
