Your Visit
Where can I buy tickets?
Tickets are available in advance at our Box Office between 12-2 Thursdays or online through our website (select ‘more info’ on the film you want and the click on the ‘Buy Tickets’ button). Tickets are available on the door 30 minutes before the scheduled start time, and we usually have at least 2 unsold tickets which are held for wheelchair users so even if the website is showing sold out there may be some availability on the night.
Do you have concession tickets?
We offer a standard ticket, an under 26 and a Member ticket. We do our best to keep prices affordable and we are a non-profit organisation run by volunteers but still need to cover running and licensing costs which can be a challenge for a small venue.
Do you show ads?
We don’t show any ads so our screenings start at the stated time.
I can’t make the film, can I get a refund?
We are unable to offer refunds but in some instances, it may be possible to arrange an exchange by contacting the Eden Court Box Office.
Are you an accessible venue?
The cinema has space for 2 wheelchair users, an accessible toilet and a Fidelio system to support hearing and visually impaired audiences for certain screenings. We also offer some screenings with captions for those with hearing impairment who prefer not to use headsets.
Do you sell food and drink?
We do now have a small range of lovely snacks and drinks for sale as you enter the foyer (support the cinema, eat our snacks). You are welcome to bring your own snacks (no hot food please!) and drinks and just ask that you take your rubbish away with you.
What do classifications mean?
The majority of our screenings will have a BBFC classification and guidance on what that means can be found here. Some films may not have a BBFC rating and for these we attempt to provide some guidance. Our volunteers may ask your age to make sure you can attend the screening in line with these classification.
Do children need to be accompanied?
Children over 12 are welcome to come the cinema unattended provided that the film rating allows this. Under 12s must be accompanied by an adult, with a ratio of 4 children to one adult.
Membership
How long does my membership last?
Your membership is for 12 months from the date you joined.
Does my member discount apply to tickets I buy for other people?
Discounts only apply for your own ticket.
Cinema Hires
Why can’t I get the date or time I want for the hire?
Our primary goal is to provide a range of public screenings so these must take precedence over other events. On days when we don’t have public screenings, we will try to offer private hires but this is dependent on having a volunteer available to manage the cinema which can’t be guaranteed. We will do everything we can to accommodate you but it helps to give us a few weeks’ notice, look for weekday evenings and have some alternative dates!
Can I use the cinema for a training event or virtual conference?
Absolutely! The cinema is equipped with high quality video and audio conferencing equipment to support connection through standard online meeting and conferencing software allowing you to host or join virtual international events. We also work with other community organisations so can arrange accommodation and meal packages as well if required. Get in touch admin@cromartycinema.com to discuss your requirements.
