Role: Freelance Guest Curator – Cromarty Cinema

Period of Engagement: October 2026 – January 2027 (exact start and end dates will be discussed at the interview) and will include 2 paid visits to Cromarty as well as attending the FHS New Producers training day.

Fee: £2,000.

Are you passionate about film and interested in gaining hands-on experience in film exhibition? Cromarty Cinema is offering a unique opportunity for a Guest Curator to spend time getting to know our rural community and develop a curated film event for local audiences.

Between October 2026 and January 2027, the Guest Curator will have the opportunity to immerse themselves in the Cromarty community, explore what matters to local audiences and use this experience to shape and deliver specially curated screening(s) or film event(s) at Cromarty Cinema.

The role will provide a chance to learn more about film curation, audience engagement, programming and delivering events in a rural cinema setting, with support from the Cromarty Cinema team throughout.
