A father and his son living in the outskirts of Casablanca survive by committing minor crimes for a nearby criminal gang. After a kidnapping attempt goes awry, they are faced with the challenge of getting rid of the body. As they find themselves stuck in a never-ending night, they are unaware of the dangers that lie ahead.
There are hints of Quentin Tarantino, Nicolas Winding Refn and Alejandro González Iñárritu in this punchy, scrappy film whose two lead characters are all too obviously less important to the criminal overlords than the actual dogs in their macho contests.
Ingenious thriller with a streak of anthracite-black humour… simple, high concept for a lean thriller that counts contemporary Casablanca as a lead character.
