For families and our growing number of talented young film-makers (P3-7) fascinated by animation (who were recently celebrated in the cinema for special screenings of their own film ‘The Mermaid’) we have a Special Programme of International Short Films aimed at 8+ on 25th June. Kindly shared with Cromarty Cinema, courtesy of the Discovery Film Festival in Dundee, this special group of 10 short films is a real delight. 55 mins of short films have been chosen from studios around the world including France, Germany, the Netherlands and Lithuania. Stories take us to strange new worlds in search of new starts. ‘A Tiny Tale’ features a dog who has to fend for itself and finds new friends. In ‘Matilda and the Spare Head’, we learn what happens to Matilda when her head gets too full of knowledge. These short films are fun, beautifully made + will appeal to audiences of all ages!
There is no dialogue in the majority of the films with the exception of ‘Matilda’ which has subtitles.
Age 8+ is a recommendation only – people of all ages are warmly welcomed!
Special ticket price of £3.00 has been introduced for this programme.
