COVID-19 Policies

Cromarty Cinema remains in alignment with current Scottish Government policy. We also seek to reflect the opinions of our staff and the local community. So there may be some instances where we are permitted to open but do not do so as we don’t think that is what the majority of the local community want.

Cromarty Cinema COVID procedures – what’s different?

We are operating with social-distancing in place across all our open public areas. Please wear a face-covering throughout your visit unless you are exempt from doing so. You can take your face-covering off when eating and drinking. Please wear a face mask when making your way to the bathroom and inside the bathroom.

We have hand-sanitiser available at the entrance. We ask that all visitors use hand-sanitiser when entering the building.

Your Visit

For cinema bookings you will be sent a confirmation email with your e-ticket included. You simply show the ticket on your phone to the cinema usher. Alternatively, you can print the ticket at home, or make a note of your booking number.

Cinema

We have updated our seating plans to reflect current social distancing guidelines. Face coverings must be worn while you’re seated and for the duration of the film unless you are eating or drinking. Seats not in use are clearly marked and cleaning takes place between each screening. On arrival at the cinema, please queue outside at the queue markers. We will ask people to enter in groups to allow for social distancing.

Toilets

Our toilets are cleaned regularly. When requiring the use of the toilet, please let a volunteer know and they will unlock it for you. Please ensure that you wear a face-covering on your way to and in the toilet.

Track and Trace

We are using the Inverness Chamber of Commerce Protect Highland (Test and Protect) app to ensure we comply with current Track and Trace regulations. The collection of Track and Trace data is mandatory in hospitality settings in Scotland. You can read more information here.

When you enter our building you will be asked to complete your contact details using your smart phone and the QR code on display. If you do not own a smart phone our volunteer will be able to record this information for you.

We reserve the right to refuse entry to those who do not agree to the collation of this data.

Information about the Inverness Chamber of Commerce Protect Highland Test and Protect App can be found on their website here including their privacy policy, how data is stored and for how long.
